Printable tournament brackets
Blank brackets to print and fill in by hand, with the byes in the right places and every game numbered. Pick a size below, or draw one for any number of teams.
A blank bracket for any number of teams
What is on each bracket
- Seed numbers on the first-round lines, in the standard order (1 v 16, 8 v 9…), so writing names in seed order gives the fair draw. Top seeds’ byes are already taken care of: those teams start in round two.
- Game numbers (M1, M2…) in playing order, so later lines can be read as “winner of M5” and a scorer can call games by number.
- Score boxes beside every line, and a title and date line at the top.
- In double elimination, the losers’ bracket under the winners’ bracket, with “Loser of M…” where each team drops in, and the grand final with its reset.
Which paper to use
Every bracket is scaled to fit one landscape page. The table shows the smallest printed text size you end up with, in points; around 7 pt and up is comfortable, below 6 pt is hard to read. Two-sided means the halves meet at the final in the middle, which fits wide paper better.
| Bracket | Letter | A4 | Legal | Tabloid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8-team single, two-sided | 9 pt | 9 pt | 9 pt | 9 pt |
| 16-team single | 6.9 pt | 7.4 pt | 8.9 pt | 9 pt |
| 32-team single | 5.8 pt | 5.8 pt | 6 pt | 7.9 pt |
| 64-team single, two-sided | 4.1 pt | 4.3 pt | 5.3 pt | 6.4 pt |
| 8-team double, two-sided | 9 pt | 9 pt | 9 pt | 9 pt |
| 16-team double, two-sided | 5 pt | 5.3 pt | 6.4 pt | 7.9 pt |
| 32-team double, two-sided | 3.4 pt | 3.7 pt | 4.4 pt | 5.4 pt |
Blank, names only, or play it online
These pages print the bracket blank. If you already know the teams, type them into the bracket maker instead: it prints the same bracket with the names filled in, or with the results so far, and keeps the whole tournament in a link you can share. It also runs Swiss events. For a league where everyone plays everyone, use the round-robin schedule generator or the league manager.

Common questions
Are these brackets free to print?
Yes. Print as many as you like for your club, school, office or family. There is no sign-up and nothing to download: the Print button prints the bracket on its own, sized to one landscape page.
What if my number of teams is not listed?
Use the blank bracket at the top of this page: choose any number from 2 to 128 and single or double elimination, and it draws the bracket with the byes in the right places. For names already filled in, use the bracket maker, which prints the bracket blank, with names only, or with results so far.
Who gets the byes?
The top seeds. A bracket needs a power-of-two number of lines, so with 12 teams it has 16 lines and 4 byes, and seeds 1 to 4 skip the first round. Every printable bracket here puts the seed numbers on the first-round lines, so writing names in seed order puts every bye in the right place.
How do I print a 32 or 64-team bracket so it is readable?
Each page uses whichever layout prints larger: the 64-team single-elimination and the 8 and 16-team double-elimination brackets are two-sided, with the halves meeting in the middle, which suits landscape paper. Tabloid (11 × 17 in) or A3 is the most comfortable; on Letter or A4, choose “Fit to page” and keep names short.
