How it works

  1. Set up. Name the league, pick the sport, list the teams and choose whether they play each other once or twice. Dates and home venues are optional.
  2. Fixtures. The schedule is made by the circle method, the same as the round-robin schedule generator: everyone plays everyone, home and away games are balanced to within one, and with an odd number of teams each team sits out one round.
  3. Scores. Type each result into the Fixtures tab as games are played. Mark overtime (hockey) or a forfeit from the menu under the score. Games left blank do not count.
  4. Table. Standings, form over the last five games, a results grid and a page per team update as you type, with the sport's own tiebreakers.
  5. Share. Keep the edit link to yourself and send the view-only link to players and parents. Print the schedule and table for the noticeboard, or export a file as a backup.

Points systems and tiebreakers

Each preset follows the rule its governing body publishes for league or group play. Most amateur leagues copy these; if yours has its own points values, change them under Setup. Tiebreakers are applied in order until the teams are separated. A head-to-head criterion uses only the games between the teams still level at that point, and is worked out again if the tied group gets smaller.

Basketball Win 2, loss 1, forfeit 0 points → head-to-head points → head-to-head difference → head-to-head scored → difference → scored FIBA Official Basketball Rules 2026, Article 20 and Appendix D.1

Where this differs from the official rules

Saving, sharing and privacy

The league is written into the part of the link after the #, compressed with the browser's built-in deflate and encoded to plain letters and numbers. That part of a link is never sent to a web server, so this site does not see or store your league, and there is no database to leak. The trade-off is that the link is the league: if you lose it and have not exported a file, it cannot be recovered.

Link lengths, measured with this version: a 12-team double round robin with every score, venue and date entered comes to about 660 characters; the maximum, 24 teams playing twice with all 552 scores, stays under 1,400. Browsers that cannot compress (rare now) make a link about twice as long, which still works. The view-only link hides the editing controls; it is not a password.

Who this is for

Volunteer organisers: a Sunday league secretary, a parent who ended up running the under-10s, a work five-a-side, a church volleyball night, a beer-league hockey captain. If you need registration, payments or messaging, a full league platform will serve you better. If you need a fixture list and a table everyone can check on their phone, this does that without anyone creating an account. For a one-off table from a list of results, the league standings calculator is quicker; for a knockout after the league, press Start playoffs from this table under the table to seed the bracket maker with your top teams.

Points systems and tiebreakers last reviewed against the sources above on 30 September 2026.

Common questions

Where is my league saved?

In the web address. Everything after the # in the link is the league: teams, fixtures, scores and settings, compressed. Browsers never send that part of a link to a server, so this site never receives your league. Bookmark the edit link after each session, or export a backup file. If you lose the link and have no backup, the league is gone; there is no account to recover it from.

How do players see the table?

Copy the view link and send it to the league, or post it in your group chat. It opens the same league with the score boxes and setup hidden. A link is a snapshot: after you enter new results, send the new view link. The view link hides the editing controls but is not a password; someone determined could turn it into an edit link for their own copy, which would not change yours.

How long does the link get?

Measured with this version: a 12-team double round robin with all 132 scores, venues and dates entered makes a link of about 660 characters. The largest league it allows, 24 teams playing twice (552 games), stays under 1,400 characters. Browsers accept links far longer than that, and email and chat apps handle them, though some text-message apps shorten or break long links. If one does, share the exported file instead.

What happens with forfeits and postponed games?

Mark a forfeit from the menu under the score. The game counts as the score your sport awards (3-0 in soccer and volleyball, 20-0 in basketball under FIBA rules, 1-0 in hockey and other sports) and the team that forfeited gets the forfeit points, 0 by default. A postponed game is simply left blank: it does not count until a score is entered, whatever round it was in.

Can I change teams after the season starts?

You can rename teams, change venues, dates, the league name and the points values at any time. Adding or removing a team, or switching between single and double round robin, changes the whole fixture list, so it is only allowed before any score is entered. Mid-season, start a new league and copy the scores across.

Which tiebreakers does the table use?

Those of the sport you choose, listed in the table on this page with their sources: goal difference then goals scored then head-to-head for soccer, head-to-head first for basketball (FIBA), wins then points then set ratio for volleyball (FIVB), and the NHL order for hockey. Your league may use its own rules; the notes under the table say exactly which criterion separated any teams level on points.
